What it does in ContentPulse: Publish text posts to your personal LinkedIn profile. You write or generate the post in ContentPulse and click Publish — it appears on your LinkedIn feed. Status: Available (personal profile posting). Company-page posting is on the roadmap pending LinkedIn Marketing Developer Platform approval. Tier: Available on all paid plans.
Before you start
- A LinkedIn account in good standing. Brand-new accounts (under a week old) sometimes can't authorize third-party apps — LinkedIn flags them.
- Cost: Free. ContentPulse handles the LinkedIn developer app — you don't need a LinkedIn developer account.
How to connect (≈30 seconds)
- In ContentPulse, open https://contentpulse.helloaurora.ai/settings/connections.

- LinkedIn will ask you to sign in (if not already) and approve the permissions: read your basic profile, post on your behalf. Click Allow. [Screenshot to be added](screenshot:LinkedIn OAuth consent screen with Allow highlighted)
- LinkedIn redirects you back to ContentPulse. You'll see Connected as Firstname Lastname on the LinkedIn row.
That's it. No app to create, no API key to paste.
What you can do once connected
- Publish text-only posts to your personal LinkedIn feed.
- Schedule LinkedIn posts for future dates (via the Queue).
- Use ContentPulse's LinkedIn-tuned voice presets (longer hooks, hashtag styling, etc.).
Common pitfalls

Pitfall: "Your LinkedIn account isn't authorized to share content." Fix: LinkedIn occasionally throttles brand-new or low-activity accounts. Post one update manually on linkedin.com first, then try connecting again 24 hours later.

Pitfall: Posts publish but appear with no formatting (line breaks collapsed). Fix: LinkedIn collapses certain whitespace patterns. ContentPulse already handles this, but if you're seeing it, paste your content into the Publish UI's preview pane and tweak — what you see in preview is what LinkedIn shows.

Pitfall: "I want to post to my company page but it only offers my personal profile." Fix: That's expected — company-page posting requires LinkedIn Marketing Developer Platform (MDP) approval. ContentPulse is not currently approved for MDP. Workaround: post to your personal profile and tag the company page. Email [support@helloaurora.ai](mailto:support@helloaurora.ai) if company-page posting is critical for your team.
Restrictions
- ContentPulse only publishes posts you create in the app. It doesn't read your LinkedIn feed, messages, or connection requests.
- No image or video posting yet — text + link only. Image support is on the roadmap.
- No company-page posting until LinkedIn MDP approval.
Advanced: bring your own LinkedIn developer app (optional, almost no one needs this)
Most agencies should stop reading here. The default ContentPulse LinkedIn app works for 99% of use cases.

- Creating a LinkedIn developer app at https://www.linkedin.com/developers/apps with the Sign In with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect and Share on LinkedIn products (both auto-approved).
- Adding redirect URL
https://contentpulse.helloaurora.ai/api/connections/linkedin/callback. - Sending us the Client ID + Secret so we can wire them to your workspace.
