What it does in ContentPulse: Will let you submit text and link posts to subreddits you participate in. Status: Coming soon Tier: Will be available on Suite and higher.
Before you start (prerequisites — when it ships)
- Account requirement: A Reddit account in good standing. Reddit requires accounts to have a minimum age (typically 30 days) and minimum karma (varies by subreddit) before you can post to many subreddits.
- Subreddit rules: Each subreddit has its own posting rules. ContentPulse will not bypass them — if a sub requires a flair, your post needs a flair; if it bans link posts, your link post will be removed by mods.
- Cost: Reddit's API has free tier limits (currently 100 queries per minute for OAuth apps). Beyond that, Reddit charges — see https://www.reddit.com/wiki/api for current terms. ContentPulse's planned usage will stay in the free tier for normal posting volumes.
Step-by-step setup
This integration isn't live yet. When it ships, the connection flow will be Reddit OAuth: click Connect Reddit on the Settings → Connections page, authorize ContentPulse, and choose which subreddits to enable for publishing.
We'll publish a full step-by-step guide on this page when the integration ships.
What you'll be able to do once connected
- Submit text (self) posts to subreddits.
- Submit link posts.
- Set post flair where the subreddit requires it.
Restrictions (planned)
- ContentPulse will refuse to post to subreddits we know reject automated/cross-posted content (e.g. r/AskReddit, many advice subs).
- No commenting or voting via ContentPulse — submission only.
- Reddit's anti-spam systems may shadow-ban accounts that post too uniformly. Use sparingly and respect each sub's culture.
